For the 2026/27 season, we are looking for a Assistant Director at the Landestheater Schwaben
The Landestheater Schwaben is the largest cultural institution in the Allgäu region, based in Memmingen. With up to 15 in-house productions in one season, the theater not only performs at its main venue, but also fulfills its cultural mission at numerous guest venues in the Swabian region and beyond. A passionate, highly motivated team develops plays for adults as well as for children and young people. You can expect a varied and diverse role in a creative and open atmosphere. With your work, you will support the artistic and necessary organizational processes so that the productions in the Landestheater's evening schedule can continue to successfully inspire audiences in the city and the region in the future.
You are communicative, structured and team-oriented and you have already gained some experience in theater operations. Your working style can be described as independent and solution-oriented, you are good at thinking your way into artistic processes and your passion for theater and culture is convincing.

Your tasks will include:
Supervision as well as preparation and follow-up of rehearsals
Coordination with the departments in the house
Maintaining the director's book
Taking over the prompting at rehearsals
Inspection and taking over evening and performance duties
Supervision of guest performances in evening performance management
Organizational tasks in connection with performance operations and mobile performances
Conceptual support and management of special formats
The position is initially limited to two years on the basis of the standard stage contract in the special solo regulation with remuneration in the amount of the collectively agreed starting salary. The position will start on August 24, 2026.
