Job description
We are casting for the lead role of “Ronny” in a social media series for a well-known automotive brand. The series consists of 5 episodes, each approximately 30 seconds long, in portrait orientation (9:16).
The Role: Ronny, in his 40s, a true Berliner and family man (married to Gabi, with a teenage daughter). He complains about everything—especially things that are actually good. At the end of each episode, he has to smile just a little bit, even though he doesn’t want to.
Schedule:
– Costume fitting & voice-over: half a day before filming
– Filming: 2 days of filming between November 24 and 26, 2026, in Berlin, partly in the evening and outdoors
Fee: €2,000 per day of filming, plus a flat fee for the costume fitting and voice recording.
Buyout: Organic Social Germany, 12 months; paid media as an option.
Non-compete: No campaigns for other car brands during the usage period.
Please send us:
– Showreel or headshot
– Confirmation of your availability for November 24–26, 2026
– Self-tape in portrait orientation (9:16), facing the camera head-on, delivered naturally, with both lines:
Line 1: “I’m a romantic, you know. Old school. Letters, poems, flowers, all that.”
Text 2: “Now she has her music. I have mine. I don’t even know what she likes anymore.” (Pause, then:) “…whatever.” – with a subtle smile
Please include your proposed fee, including a buyout. Callbacks will follow in early Week 45.
Important: Unfortunately, we cannot consider applications without a showreel; they will be automatically rejected.
Role / Requirements profile
– Age: approx. 40–50 years old
– Type: A likable grump, not an unlikable guy. A normal, well-groomed guy you can relate to—more like the coworker who complains about everything but does so with a twinkle in his eye, rather than a scruffy guy.
– Performance: Dry, deadpan, quiet, and precise. Comedic timing is the most important thing: pauses, minimal reactions, a micro-smile that really works.
– Camera: Speaks directly into the camera. Experience with “dialogue to camera” is a big plus.
– Language: The lines are in English. Fluent English with an audible German or Berlin accent is required. Occasional German words may appear in the middle of a sentence (“Damals,” “Schneeflöckchen”). Being from Berlin is a plus.
– A showreel is required.
