Sound engineer (m/f/d) for a student short film project
Hey lovelies!
Here are Carlos (director, writer) and Lukas (director) and we are looking for you as sound engineer for our short film project Chief Fortune Writer (AT)!
After receiving a grant of 3,000 euros from the Film- und Mediennachwuchsförderung Rheinland Pfalz, we are now putting together our crew and are therefore also looking for a person who will be responsible for the sound recordings on set.
In Chief Fortune Writer (AT) (10-15 minutes), we meet fortune cookie writer Farah, who discovers that everything he writes in fortune cookies actually comes true for readers. With his new ability, he tries to find his daughter who disappeared years ago...
This drama deals with themes such as dreams and hope and asks which people are actually family to us. The narrative style of the story reflects a race against fate and luck. With the means at our disposal, we want to get the maximum out of simple sets so that the stirring script can also become a great movie. (This project is a student project)

We are looking for someone to record the sound on set on all days of shooting. The focus here is primarily on the dialogues. Their sound quality is very important for the quality of the film, which is why we would appreciate previous set experience and possibly work samples.
Of course, it would be nice if you could bring some equipment to the project. We will then discuss exactly what we need with our sound designer so that there are no problems in post-production. however, we can get or borrow (almost) everything that still needs to be purchased! In pre-production, it is therefore important that you are able to say which equipment you need on which days with a view to the shooting schedule.
If you join our team, you can look forward to two experienced short film directors who will spare no effort to get the most out of every project. We would describe ourselves as reliable partners with whom communication is easy and the work remains enjoyable and fun. A healthy and friendly atmosphere is important to us throughout production and we are convinced that every input can potentially improve the project. Of course, we expect the same attitude from you!
