Leading actor (m/d) as "master painter" for a commercial film

For the production of a scenic anniversary film, we are looking for an authentic actor with a strong character for the role of the master painter. The film tells the 70-year history of a housing cooperative in an entertaining way through a dialog between the master painter and his apprentice.

Shooting period:: Probably end of April 2026 (1 day of shooting)

Application: For the first selection we ask for the following:

• A current portrait photo

• A short introduction video (max. 1 minute)

• A current reference list (filming experience, theater, etc.) with links at best

Age:

• 45-60 years (playing age)

Type:

• A real construction site character. Pithy, direct and with a rough skin. He cultivates the typical, dry craftsman humor, where a statement can sometimes be sharp without being meant in a bad way. He is not a slick advertising man, but comes across as genuine. Someone you can tell has been on the ladder all his life. He's quick-witted, direct and has a natural, unvarnished authority.

Requirement:

• Confidence in dealing with extensive text as well as experience in voice-over/voice recording, as the role also functions as a narrator.
