2 actors (m/f) for a TV commercial in the "vox pop" format

For an 89-second TV and online commercial in the “vox pop” format (survey of passersby), we are looking for two authentic actors who can convincingly portray passersby being spontaneously interviewed in a Munich pedestrian zone. Each role involves a small speaking part consisting of a single sentence.

A host asks several passersby the same simple, everyday question—and none of them really know the answer. The format thrives on genuine, unstaged energy: We’re not looking for traditional acting, but rather a natural, reactive presence in front of the camera. The client is a German online pharmacy, and the ad promotes a digital service related to e-prescriptions.

APPLICATION

* 2–3 recent photos (no professional photoshoot needed—everyday shots are ideal)

* A short self-introduction as a cell phone video—a few sentences are enough, e.g.:

1. Who are you?

Tell us your name, where you’re from, and what you do—job, studies, hobbies, whatever comes to mind first.

2. When was the last time you were surprised by something because it was easier than you thought?

It can be something completely mundane. We’re interested in how you react when something surprises you.

3. Imagine someone approaches you on the street with a microphone and asks you a question you don’t know the answer to. How do you react?

Do you think out loud? Do you ask a question in return? Do you make a joke? Just answer honestly.

CASTING CALL

2 passersby, approx. 40 to 45 years old

Both roles have one line each with approx. 6 to 10 words. This makes it all the more important that their reactions come across as believable and likable within just a few seconds.

REQUIREMENTS

* Experience in front of the camera is a plus, but not required—a natural demeanor is more important than formal acting training

* Ability to convincingly portray short, spontaneous-seeming reactions and responses

* German as a native language, accent-free, no dialect

* A well-groomed, down-to-earth appearance

* Outdoor shoot in November: able to handle all weather conditions, reliable, and punctual on the day of the shoot

* Full transfer of rights for TV and online use in Germany (buyout)
