The Theater Krefeld und Mönchengladbach gGmbH is Germany's oldest fusion theater and employs around 500 people. It operates the theaters in Krefeld and Mönchengladbach with the divisions of music theater, ballet and drama as well as the orchestra "Niederrheinische Sinfoniker". From August 2027, the theater in Krefeld is to be closed for at least 3 years due to extensive renovation work. Theater operations in Krefeld will then be temporarily relocated to a theater tent.
We are looking for a
Project Coordinator for Theater Operations during the Renovation Phase (m/f/d)
The City of Krefeld will be responsible for the entire renovation of the building. The city administration has commissioned a general planner and several planning offices to plan and coordinate the construction project. Theater Krefeld und Mönchengladbach gGmbH is involved in the project as the future user.
To this end, Theater Krefeld und Mönchengladbach gGmbH is looking for a project coordinator (m/f/d) who, in addition to representing the users in the planning and construction project, will take on extensive coordination tasks:
Drawing up action plans and coordinating the implementation of the planned measures in close consultation with the management and controlling
Representing Theater Krefeld und Mönchengladbach gGmbH in the planning and construction process vis-à-vis the city administration (client), the general planner, the general contractors, the specialist planners and contractors
Active participation in client and planning meetings of the specialist teams
Examination of requirements and logistics in cooperation with the departments of Theater Krefeld und Mönchengladbach gGmbH
Supervision of the construction and set-up of the theater tent
Coordination of the set-up of replacement rooms for workstations, that have to be relocated from Theater Krefeld to replacement rooms during the renovation work
Coordination of the relocation of all workstations from the theater to their new locations
Management of the budget for all measures of the project that are the responsibility of the theater operations in close coordination with the Management and Controlling
Coordination and planning of smaller renovation measures at Theater Mönchengladbach with the technical departments of Theater operations
As coordinator for the "Renovation of Theater Krefeld" project, you will report to the management of Theater Krefeld und Mönchengladbach gGmbH. You will be paid according to pay group 11 TVöD VKA (collective agreement for the public service) and taking into account your personal requirements. The average weekly working time is 39 hours. The first place of work is Theater Krefeld.

What you should bring
A degree from a university of applied sciences in the possible fields of building technology, facility management, civil engineering, Architecture or theater technology with corresponding professional experience or a comparable degree with good professional experience
Experience in the coordination of larger projects
Ability to work independently and take on responsibility
Very good written and spoken German and English
Good knowledge of MS-Word and MS-Excel
Good communication and negotiation skills, decision-making skills and assertiveness
Knowledge of the relevant provisions of building regulations and the special building regulations for places of assembly (if you do not have this knowledge, you must acquire it in parallel with your work)
Professional experience in the theater sector is an advantage
