Job description
We are looking to fill the position of a lighting technician or event technician (m/f/d) as soon as possible
in our lighting department on a part-time basis (29.25 hours/week). The position is initially a 1-year fixed-term contract.
The Deutsches Theater Göttingen is a theater company that, with over 180 employees—including 26 permanently contracted actors—stages approximately 25 new productions per season. Across three venues, it offers a diverse repertoire spanning classical, modern, and musical theater, as well as children’s and youth theater.
Your responsibilities:
Technical operation and maintenance of lighting systems and equipment
Lighting setups for performances and final rehearsals
Production-related electrical work
Providing lighting support for rehearsals and performances
Minor repairs and maintenance work on all of the theater’s electrical systems
Setting up and taking down spotlights and lighting equipment

Role / Requirements profile
Your Profile:
Completed training in an electronics-related field or as an event technician
Basic knowledge of lighting and electronics, as well as manual dexterity
Reliability and the ability to work well in a team
Physical stamina and no difficulty working on ladders or at great heights
Interest in and enjoyment of theater operations
Willingness to work flexible hours according to the duty roster; work may also include weekends and holidays
