Job description
The Kellertheater is located in Winterthur's old town, 5 minutes from the main railway station. Since it was founded in 1972 by Albert Michel Bosshard, the theater has focused on contemporary author's theater. We bring current texts to the stage in our own productions, we carry out co-productions with other theaters, we organize guest performances, dance evenings, readings and various extra events (website: www.keller.theater).
We are looking for a
Technician (m/f/d) for the Kellertheater at the start of the 2026/27 season from 1 July 2026 or by arrangement. 25%
Your areas of responsibility:
Supervision and organization of in-house and co-productions as well as guest performances
Setting up and supervising theater productions (light, sound, Video)
Creating and setting up lighting designs for 2 in-house productions
Collaborating on stage construction for in-house productions and guest performances
Supervising final rehearsals
Supervising performances/running shows and organizing freelancers
Maintaining the technical equipment
Contact person:in for the technical matters of the house
The Kellertheater has approx. 55 evenings of performances. Of these, approx. 15-18 should be supervised by the house technician. The remaining performances are either supervised by technicians from the guest performance groups or by freelancers. The aim is to have a flexible work schedule that allows for other activities in addition to those for the Kellertheater.

Role / Requirements profile
You bring:
Possible experience in a theater company in the field of technology
Completed training as an event technician:in or equivalent professional experience
In-depth knowledge of lighting, sound, Video and stage technology
Ability to work independently
Significant ability to work in a team
Willingness to work irregular hours and varying workload (evening and weekend shifts)
Talent for improvisation and initiative in creative and technical processes
Knowledge of theater-specific software (e.g. Q-Lab, Logic, etc.)
Willingness to work independently

Knowledge of mixing consoles from the ETC family (ION) and Yamaha family (QL1)
