The TIPI AM KANZLERAMT is looking for from 01.02.2026 a Technical Director incl. Production Manager (m/f/d).

Type of position: Full-time (40 hours)

The TIPI AM KANZLERAMT, the largest stationary tent stage in Europe, presents sophisticated and intelligent entertainment from the genres of chanson, cabaret, music comedy, show and musical all year round. The TIPI AM KANZLERAMT is also a versatile event location. The in-house and sophisticated kitchen takes care of the physical well-being of the guests.

Short description:

In addition to the responsibility for the technical and organizational preparation and the process, the control of the entire rehearsal and performance operation is one of the main tasks. Likewise, the guidance, control and effective utilization of the working time of the subordinate employees. In addition, there is support for the technical supervision of trainees (event technology). Professional experience in theaters is desirable. We are a young, dynamic and committed team that is interested in and enjoys cultural work.  

Your tasks:

  • Management of the event technology department in the areas of stage and building technology

  • Set-up and dismantling of productions incl. stage design

  • Set-up and dismantling of productions incl. stage design. Stage design

  • Supervision and organization of all productions

  • Planning, implementation and follow-up of productions and exclusive events as the person responsible for event technology

  • Operation of all technical event and building services equipment including control, maintenance, repair and testing. Control, maintenance, repair and testing of technical building systems

  • Personnel planning and cost calculation

  • General organizational tasks

  • Ensuring compliance with the UVV and the Assembly Venue Ordinance

Role / Requirements profile

Your profile:

  • good technical skills in all areas of event technology

  • confident handling of common software and modern means of communication

  • good knowledge of the legal framework with regard to traffic safety obligations, Building law and occupational health and safety guidelines

  • independent and customer-oriented way of working

  • high organizational skills as well as teamwork and communication skills

  • confident appearance and high level of commitment and flexibility

  • willingness to work irregular shifts and weekends

  • and weekend work

  • Creativity in ongoing production

  • Managing experience at comparable theaters or venues

  • Aptitude as an instructor

  • Social skills and a high level of sensitivity to artistic Competence and high sensitivity for artistic processes

  • excellent knowledge of German and good written and spoken English

Requirement for the application is the qualification as a master craftsman for event technology IHK (stage/studio) or equivalent degree as a Master/Bachelor of Engineering and at least a class B driving license
