Set Designer & Prop Master (m/f/d) for a student short film at the HFF

We are looking for someone to handle set design and props for HFF Exercise 01 on short notice.

Shooting: August 13–15, 2026
Location: Munich and a forest location in the Munich area
Preparation: starting immediately
Duration: three days of filming

The short film tells the story of a father and his adult daughter. During a joint photography outing in the forest, they try to reconnect after a long period of estrangement.

Your responsibilities:

• Organize and prepare props

• Manage props on set

• Prepare photography equipment, backpacks, and handheld props

• Help develop a secure camera dummy

• Prepare sandwiches and other consumable props for multiple takes

• Check connections and resets

A finalized visual concept, a prop list, and a materials budget are available.

This is an unpaid position. We provide meals, credit, and a copy of the finished film. We process applications immediately.

You are reliable, organized, and able to work independently. Some experience with set design, props, design, art, or theater is helpful but not required.

Important requirements:

• Availability on all three days of filming

• Time for a brief preparation session before filming

• Careful handling of props

• A keen eye for details and continuity

• Willingness to work outdoors on a forest set
