We are a mobile touring theater based in Witten (NRW) and Berlin, which has been developing musical theater plays for children and families since 2011 and performing in cultural and educational institutions nationwide. We have around 150 performances per year with an audience of around 20,000 spectators. Since January 2025, we have been building a second location in Berlin in addition to our previous main location in NRW.
For our production "Motte will MEER!" we are looking for two freelance actors and a freelance event technician for the tours, which will take place from Berlin, starting in May 2025.

1st role (m/d) - Motte's dad and Professor Fantastico
2nd role (f/d) - Motte (playing age 8-12 years)

Timetable:
until 23.2.25: Application phase
until 26.2.25: Preselection is made: Short telephone interview to get to know each other, possible casting dates are discussed.
by 28.2.25: You will receive a casting invitation or a friendly rejection
by 11.3.25: Casting (date will be set in coordination with your calendars.)
On the day following the casting you will receive an acceptance or rejection, so that there is planning security for you as early as possible.
April 25: 5 rehearsal days (rehearsal video is available) incl. a test performance in front of a young audience - dates will be set in consultation with your calendar, probably during the Berlin Easter vacations (14.-28.4.25)

In consultation with you and your calendar, we will be happy to set further performance dates, these are usually on weekday mornings or weekend afternoons. Single event days with 1 or 2 performances are the rule, but tours over several days are also possible.
We offer:

- 200 Euro fee for a single performance / 320 Euro fee for a double performance
- 20 Euro meal allowance for performances with overnight stay

- A long-term cooperation in follow-up assignments, if there is mutual interest, assignment in several productions is possible.

You should bring:
- a completed acting or musical training or as a career changer:in several years of professional experience in acting & singing
- experience in children's and/or touring theater
- for the role of Papa/ Professor: playing age 25-55 years
- for the role of Moth: childlike acting
- reliability
- ideally a car driver's license (not obligatory)
- a residence in Berlin or the surrounding area. (Departure point is Berlin-Zehlendorf)
- After successful casting and acceptance: An extended certificate of good conduct and proof of existing measles protection (prerequisite for being allowed to play in Berlin schools)
- Last but not least: We are looking for people who can get stuck in, because setting up and dismantling the set is part of touring theater.
