Pianist & Actress (f/d) for the production “It’s Not the End of the World—The ’20s Are Now”

Since one of our actresses will no longer be available starting in 2027 for personal reasons, we are looking for a pianist who is also interested in acting for our production “Davon geht die Welt nicht unter – die 20er Jahre sind jetzt,” which will premiere in 2024 at the Theater Putbus/Rügen, we are looking for a pianist who is also interested in acting.

The playwright and lead actress, Marianne Blum, will train the new colleague. She is an experienced director and a friendly colleague. You can watch a trailer here: Trailer for “It’s Not the End of the World”

We will be performing the play through 2029, and you can expect approximately 5–10 paid guest performances per year throughout Germany.

Please submit applications by the end of December so that we can relaunch the production with our new colleague and all promotional materials in the first quarter of 2027.

We do not place importance on whether someone has a college degree or similar qualifications. What matters more is whether the new colleague impresses us on the piano or grand piano, whether she is sufficiently enthusiastic about the new challenge of acting, and whether she is reliably available for the production to the extent specified. Of course, all guest performance requests will be discussed in advance with all parties involved.

As a pianist, she should be able to play everything from accompanying cheeky cabaret numbers and the famous Charleston to Gershwin’s *Rhapsody in Blue* and a short excerpt from *Carmina Burana*.

As an actress, she should be eager to learn from her experienced colleagues in this three-person play and immerse herself in her role as the Berlin-based composer and pianist Henriette “Henry” Bauch.
