The plot: The film tells an intimate story about the reconciliation between father and daughter. Their relationship is characterized by emotional distance and cultural tension. Art becomes a common language where words fail. The film also aims to convey the extent to which art connects people and that inspiration can arise especially in difficult times. She is torn between her artistic vocation, family responsibility and cultural heritage. When her father falls ill, a space for closeness, farewell and reconnection finally opens up.
Rolle Lam, a Vietnamese migrant and single father, has dedicated his life to the well-being of his daughter Lucy. Loving, dutiful and proud, he shows affection through care, not words. Illness, emotional closure and rigid role models put pressure on their relationship and turn him into a man caught between love, fear and loss of control.
