We are looking for an actor for the role of: FABIAN (17)
This is what the film is about: Paul is dead. He sends his family on a scavenger hunt around the will - just to say goodbye to them personally.
Running time: approx. 15 minutes
Genre: absurd comedy
Shooting period: 06.-11.01.2026 (2 rehearsal days in total, 4 shooting days - but for the role of Fabian it will probably only be 2 shooting days)
Shooting will take place in Idstein, about an hour's drive from Frankfurt. It would be great if you come from Hessen, but applications from outside are also welcome.
As this is a student production, which is largely financed by private funds, we unfortunately do not have the possibility to pay a fee. However, we will of course cover travel costs, accommodation if necessary and delicious meals on set. You are also welcome to use material from the film for your showreel. .

Role description:
Fabian is Paul's grandson. He is tech-savvy, a bit nerdy. In general, he is a reserved seventeen-year-old, quite well-behaved to shy. He doesn't dare approach people, especially young women. That's why he likes to spend time with his family: he doesn't really know what else to do. He likes to play video games with his friends, but has found that this has not really fulfilled him over the years. More and more, he sees it as "dead time". Unfortunately, his circle of friends consists exclusively of ambitious hobby gamers. He doesn't know how to escape this or how to find other friends. School is easy for him, he can concentrate well and the material is easy for him to understand, regardless of the subject. It is not even important for him to be interested in a subject in order to engage with it. Perhaps this is why he has a fairly formal relationship with his parents: he never causes problems, never gets into trouble. He doesn't do this consciously, it's just too tedious for him and he sees no point in arguing. He also realizes that the rest of his family already does this enough. He is in the process of redefining himself shortly before leaving school. He therefore secretly starts smoking in the hope of becoming "cooler". Not to make an impression on others ("Look, the nerd smokes!"), but for himself. If things that are otherwise important to him (his own smell and sense of taste) suddenly become irrelevant, other things may become important to him. He experiments in a quiet, barely perceptible way. He has a friendly but not particularly close relationship with his sister, who is five years older than him. In fact, she is the most important person to him and a kind of role model, especially in social terms. However, he doesn't have any really in-depth conversations with her - and she doesn't have any with him. Whether consciously or unconsciously, they both avoid it.
