Your tasks
Managing the organization of the department
Professional and organizational management of the lighting/video department with 4 employees
Coordination of all lighting, video and network technical tasks in rehearsal, performance, event and repertoire operations

Responsibility for work organization, Operational planning and processes of the department
Production and staging support
Possibility to develop lighting concepts for productions in collaboration with the directing team
Development and implementation of lighting solutions
Documentation of new productions and revivals
Active participation in rehearsals, Performances and events
Responsibility for operations, safety and quality
Managing and supervising rehearsals and performances as a responsible foreman* in accordance with § 39 VStättVO
Supervising quality standards in compliance with the applicable safety regulations
Planning, performing and managing guest performances & Detours
Technical infrastructure and equipment
Management, maintenance monitoring and needs-based further development of the in-house equipment
Responsibility for technical infrastructure tasks of the house, e.g. B. In-house electrics, inventory and technical networks
Involvement in the technical development of the department and the house

Who we are
The Schauburg is the theater for young audiences in the state capital of Munich, showing plays for the very youngest audiences from the age of two and specifying its offerings according to age up to adulthood. The aesthetically sophisticated productions are based on new plays by contemporary authors, address current social issues or reinterpret material from world literature. The productions cover the entire spectrum of the performing arts, such as music and spoken theater, dance and puppet theater, as well as cross-over formats.
The Schauburg, Theater für junges Publikum, the Münchner Kammerspiele and the Otto-Falckenberg-Schule are part of the Münchner Kammerspiele. Through their creative and committed work, they help to ensure that the city of Munich lives up to its reputation as a cultural capital beyond its borders. Many of the performances at the Schauburg take place during the day.

Your profile
Leadership and organizational skills
Completed training as a master craftsman* for event technology, preferably specializing in lighting, Lighting master
Experience in personnel management
High level of organizational competence
Artistic and technical expertise
In-depth expertise in lighting and video technology
Ideally experience in theater operations and lighting design
Independence, creative drive and willingness to actively participate in artistic-technical processes
Responsibility and quality orientation
Ability, to act in a solution-oriented and quality-conscious manner even under time pressure
Communication and teamwork skills as well as the ability to deal with conflict
Expressive confidence in German and good knowledge of English
Technical understanding of systems and resource competence
Technical understanding of equipment, Maintenance and further development of equipment

Willingness to work at normal theater hours, especially in the evenings and on Sundays and public holidays
