Event Technology Specialist (m/f/d) for the “Deutsche Theater in Göttingen”

To strengthen our team, we are looking for as soon as possible a

Event Technology Specialist (m/f/d)

in a full-time position (39 hours/week).

The Deutsches Theater in Göttingen is a theater company that, with over 180 employees—including 25 actors—produces approximately 20 new productions per season. It offers a diverse repertoire across three venues, ranging from classical and modern plays to musicals, as well as children’s and youth theater.

The scope of responsibilities includes the dt.2 stage (studio theater with up to 120 seats) and the dt.x Keller (approx. 70 seats), which host theater performances and guest performances of various kinds, as well as, when necessary, off-site venues for touring productions and special projects. You will support productions from their inception through technical setup and rehearsals to performance, working closely with directing teams and actors.

Your responsibilities:

• Technical organization of productions and participation in artistic and technical planning

• Setup and support for rehearsals, performances, and guest performances in the areas of sound, video, lighting, and stage

• Creativity in the technical implementation of artistic requirements

• Operating control consoles (lighting and sound/video)

• Maintenance, care, and upkeep of the technical systems and equipment used

Your Profile:

• Successfully completed training as an event technology specialist

• Solid technical and practical skills, as well as, ideally, professional experience in theater operations

• Knowledge of stage-specific safety regulations

• Proficiency in common MS Office applications

• Experience with Ableton Live and Q-Lab is desirable

• A Class B driver’s license is desirable
