Job description
We are a merged multi-genre theater with two locations in Plauen and Zwickau and are looking for an employee for the stage technology department (m/f/d) as of 01.09.2026. You will primarily work in the stage technology department in Zwickau, but it goes without saying that you will also work in Plauen. The position to be filled is permanent and full-time.
Your area of responsibility includes the construction, installation and dismantling of theater decorations at all venues and guest performances. This also includes repair and maintenance work.

Role / Requirements profile
We expect a completed apprenticeship as an event technician, mechatronics technician or a completed technical apprenticeship, preferably in a woodworking or metalworking trade, preferably as a carpenter, joiner, metalworker or locksmith. It is possible to retrain as an event technology specialist based on a skilled trade. We are also looking for further qualifications in the field of event technology.
In addition, we expect an interest in and understanding of the special features of theater operations, in particular the ability to work in a team and learn, as well as a high degree of flexibility with regard to working hours (irregular late-night, night, weekend and public holiday shifts).
