The Berliner Ensemble is one of the most renowned and traditional theaters in Germany. Named after Bertolt Brecht's world-famous company, the Berliner Ensemble has written theater history. In its more than 130-year history, the house on Schiffbauerdamm has always dealt with current socially relevant issues and today increasingly focuses on contemporary texts and themes.
The Berliner Ensemble GmbH is looking for a full-time dramaturgy assistant (m/f/d) for the 2026 / 2027 season.

We are looking for a committed personality with a relevant degree. Ideally, you have a degree in dramaturgy, theater studies, cultural studies or humanities and initial experience with the structural processes of a German municipal theater as well as independent production dramaturgy.
You have a high level of commitment, resilience and motivation as well as initiative, teamwork and organizational skills. You are also characterized by strong communication skills and artistic empathy. A keen interest in theater is essential. You have a flair for language and editorial tasks and can formulate texts in a well-founded and target-oriented manner. Solid PC skills (MS Office applications) are a prerequisite.
