Job description
We are looking for a
Design Engineer / Production Planner (m/f/d) for Set Design and Production
Your Responsibilities:
Independently and autonomously translating set design concepts into workshop drawings using SolidWorks
Cost estimation as well as artistic and technical supervision of productions in the workshops and on stage, including research into materials and set-related objects, ordering samples, etc.
Close communication with set designers, involving workshop management and the technical management, as well as acting as a liaison between directing teams and executive management
Preparation of technical drawings, floor plans, and cross-sections

Compensation in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement for the public sector: Grade 10 of the TVöD (€4,124.53 to €4,794.69 gross per month, subject to meeting the collective bargaining requirements and depending on professional experience)

Role / Requirements profile
What you bring to the table:
A college degree (in architecture, mechanical engineering, event technology, or a related field), Training as a technical systems planner with professional experience
Extensive knowledge of materials commonly used in theater and their application
Cost-conscious approach to work
Professional experience in technical drafting
Good computer skills; basic knowledge of SolidWorks and CAD software, as well as many years of professional experience in the theater industry, preferably with an artistic focus
Confident demeanor, artistic sensitivity, high level of commitment and motivation, initiative, dedication, and flexibility
Proficiency in English is preferred
