We are looking for a

Design Engineer / Production Planner (m/f/d) for Set Design and Production

Your Responsibilities:

• Independently and autonomously translating set design concepts into workshop drawings using SolidWorks

• Cost estimation as well as artistic and technical supervision of productions in the workshops and on stage, including research into materials and set-related objects, ordering samples, etc.

• Close communication with set designers, involving workshop management and the technical management, as well as acting as a liaison between directing teams and executive management

• Preparation of technical drawings, floor plans, and cross-sections

What you bring to the table:

• A college degree (in architecture, mechanical engineering, event technology, or a related field), Training as a technical systems planner with professional experience

• Extensive knowledge of materials commonly used in theater and their application

• Cost-conscious approach to work

• Professional experience in technical drafting

• Good computer skills; basic knowledge of SolidWorks and CAD software, as well as many years of professional experience in the theater industry, preferably with an artistic focus

• Confident demeanor, artistic sensitivity, high level of commitment and motivation, initiative, dedication, and flexibility

• Proficiency in English is preferred
