Actress (f/d) as "Beate" for the short film "Tschö"

For the graduation film "Tschö" of the Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences we are looking for an actor for the role: BEATE (43)

This is what the film is about: Paul is dead. He sends his family on a scavenger hunt around the will - just to say goodbye to them personally.

Running time: approx. 15 minutes
Genre: absurd comedy
Shooting period: 06.-11.01.2026 (total of 2 rehearsal days, 4 shooting days - but we probably only need the role of Beata on one shooting day)

Shooting will take place in Idstein, about an hour's drive from Frankfurt. It would be great if you come from Hessen, but applications from outside are also welcome.

As this is a student production, which is largely financed by private funds, we unfortunately do not have the possibility to pay a fee. However, we will of course cover travel costs and delicious meals on set. You are also welcome to use material from the film for your showreel.

Role description:
Beate is the youngest of Paul's three children. She has never had a particularly good relationship with her brother and sister. To this day, it is characterized by resentment and mutual jealousy, especially when dealing with her own mother. As the baby of the family, she was probably favored. The ostracism she experienced from her two siblings made her feel unloved and unwanted in her own family, even though her own parents showed her a lot of affection. At the same time, she never faced any challenges because her mother in particular always wanted to overprotect her. Probably also so as not to jeopardize her relationship with Paul, as she was probably his favourite child. She is actually depressed, but is in therapy. Reaching out to her own family again was a big step for her after several years of radio silence.
