Job description
We are looking for, at the start of the 2027/2028 season (beginning in August 2027) or earlier
an Assistant to the Technical Director / Artistic/Technical Production Manager (m/f/d)
Your Responsibilities:
Carrying out artistic/technical tasks as specifically directed by the Technical Director
Artistic/technical production management
Planning, organizing, and executing special events and both in-house and external guest performances, as well as overseeing and implementing technical projects for Opera and Drama Frankfurt
Involvement in the overall scheduling and planning of current productions; Collaboration within the technical management team
Carrying out centralized artistic and technical scheduling
Optimizing production operations through prompt cost estimation and assessment based on available spatial, material, and personnel resources
Sustainability management in technical areas
Organization and leadership of internal training sessions and briefings
Professional supervision of set design assistants and FSJ participants in set design for drama productions
Contributing to occupational safety by assessing and addressing stage-specific and general hazards, as well as providing support in the prevention and management of stage-related hazards
We offer:
Compensation in accordance with the provisions of the Standard Contract (NV) for the Performing Arts; the monthly salary for entry-level professionals is currently €3,095 gross under the collective bargaining agreement. Individuals with at least two years of professional experience receive a gross salary of €3,310 under the collective bargaining agreement. You will negotiate your monthly salary based on your qualifications and professional experience

The employment relationship is governed by the Standard Stage Contract (NV Bühne SR Stage Technician) and is primarily artistic in nature.

Role / Requirements profile
What You Bring to the Table:
A degree in event technology or a master craftsman’s certificate in event technology with relevant professional experience, or equivalent
Ideally, several years of theater experience in a comparable position
Knowledge of drafting and design (proficiency with DraftSight, Vectorworks, and SolidWorks), as well as standard MS Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and MS Project is a plus
Sensitivity when working with artists and addressing their needs
High level of commitment, ability to work independently and take initiative, flexibility
Strong written and spoken English skills
