So he/she tries to throw Skittles into the window of the flat-sharing party to get the attention of the other party guests. Instead of looking to see where exactly the Skittles are flying into the open window of the flat-sharing party from, a kind of party game starts in which the party guests try to catch the Skittles flying in - some succeed, some don't.
