Technical Assistant (m/f/d) for the "Deutsches Theater Göttingen"

To strengthen our team, we are looking for as soon as possible a

 Technical Assistant (m/f/d)

in full-time (39 hours/week)

The Deutsches Theater Göttingen is a theater that stages around 25 new productions per season with over 180 employees, including 26 permanent actors. It offers a diverse repertoire in classical, modern and musical theatre as well as children's and youth theater in three venues.

In this position, you will work with our Technical Director on the planning and organization of the implementation of set designs for all stages as well as the outdoor venues in coordination with the set designers and the theater's own workshops.

Your tasks:

• Supporting the Technical Director with administrative tasks

• Production of construction and workshop drawings in CAD (2D and 3D) according to the specifications of the stage designers

• Coordination of the specialist departments (including the metalworking, carpentry and joinery departments).(including metalworking, carpentry, painting, props) in the implementation of the construction plans

• Material and cost calculation incl. material research and purchasing

• if applicable. Taking over the equipment management of smaller productions

• Administrative preparation of guest performances

Your profile:

• Completed studies or a correspondingly qualified training in the field of drawing/construction plus professional experience in a comparable position at a theater or in exhibition stand construction.

• Experience in the implementation of complex projects

• Good CAD knowledge (Auto CAD) and the usual Office applications required.

• Knowledge or professional experience in craft areas

• Communication skills
