Stage Technician (m/f/d) on the Transport Team at the Opera of the “Städtische Bühnen Frankfurt”

We are looking to hire as soon as possible
1 Stage Technician (m/f/d)
for the Opera’s transportation team
initially on a one-year fixed-term contract starting upon hire

Your responsibilities:

• Setting up, rearranging, and dismantling stage sets

• Repairing damaged or defective set pieces

• Transporting stage sets

• Care and maintenance of technical equipment

• Storage of set pieces

• Dismantling of set pieces after a performance

The position is primarily based in the opera’s stage technology department.

• Pay in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement for the public sector: EG 6 TVöD (€3,240.30 to €3,580.46 gross/month, subject to meeting the collective bargaining requirements and depending on professional experience) plus a substantial theater operations allowance (€810.08 gross/month)

What you bring to the table:

• Completed apprenticeship in a woodworking or metalworking trade, or as an event technician; or a completed apprenticeship in a trade with a hands-on focus

• Class B driver’s license, BE, and CE are required 

• Willingness to work, ability to work in a team, reliability

• Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and holidays
