Job description
The Department of Culture of the District of Lower Bavaria is seeking a staff member in the field of stage technology for the KULTURmobil touring theater. The new staff member will be introduced to the work processes during this year’s tour (which includes several guest performances) and will then be more fully integrated into the project next year.
The position is for up to six guest performances on weekends between August 21 and August 30. We are explicitly seeking to integrate the employee into the project on a permanent, annual basis.
KULTURmobil is a mobile theater project that has been organized by the Cultural Affairs Department of the District of Lower Bavaria since 1998. After rehearsals, the team tours all the counties of Lower Bavaria with the stage truck from early June through late August, giving a total of 30 guest performances from Friday through Sunday in public squares or municipal halls.
Duties
Assisting with the setup, reconfiguration, and takedown of the truck stage and set pieces before, during, and after performances
Transportation, storage, and disposal of set pieces
Minor repairs and maintenance of set pieces as needed
Pay is based on the TVöD pay scale according to personal qualifications. In addition, travel expenses will be reimbursed during the tour, and lodging will be provided as needed.
Please submit application materials and direct any inquiries by July 24, 2026.
