In the summer months of July and August, the historic Zunftwinkel in Wangen im Allgäu is transformed into an open-air stage full of magic and drama. The Wangen Festival invites audiences to two plays every summer, one in the afternoon for the whole family and one in the evening, combining entertainment with depth - in productions that make the audience laugh, think and marvel. Since its foundation in 2010, the festival has grown through a great deal of voluntary commitment and today stands for a cultural highlight that radiates far beyond the region and offers artists and audiences space for unforgettable encounters and new creative impulses. The aim is to put on sophisticated theater productions in which professional actors play side by side with children, young people and adults from the region. This close collaboration between volunteers and professionals creates a special theater experience for artists and audiences alike.
The actors are used in both family and evening plays.
