Performer (m/d) with strong improvisation skills for an Art Performance

I am looking for one male performer with strong improvisation skills for a developing duo performance project CALCEOLARIA exploring sensuality, desire and interconnectedness.

The work plays with blurring the boundaries between human, animal and alien. Taking desire as a moving force of human existence, the project explores sensuality as a way of connecting with everything that surrounds us. Through the body and all its senses, we experiment with ways of relating not only to each other, but also to the invisible, the metaphysical and the undefined.

The performer should:

- feel comfortable with close body contact (while both performers are covered in shaving foam)

- be open to using the voice in a non-verbal way

- Ideally be around 1.75m height (flexible)

Queer and neurospicy humans are highly encouraged to apply.

The working process is low-pressure and improvisation-based, focusing on exploration rather than fixed outcomes, allowing material to emerge organically.

Rehearsals in Berlin: 18.03(3H), 20.03(3H), 24.03(3H) (video documented)

This initial phase is unpaid, with the goal of applying for funding and open calls by the end of March 2026.
