For a social-first campaign celebrating 140 years of MAGGI Seasoning, we are looking for exciting, authentic real people / performers for several short video clips and still images.
The campaign celebrates personal, surprising, and sometimes slightly absurd food moments. It’s not about traditional advertising or perfect food clichés, but about real characters, individual quirks, humor, pride, and the joy of one’s own taste.
Attitude: “I think it’s delicious, I eat it this way, I celebrate it.”

Indication of current place of residence / booking base
Role / Requirements profile
We’re looking for a variety of personalities for several campaigns centered around unusual, personal food combinations featuring MAGGI. The roles should come across as authentic, approachable, charming, and confident.
We’re looking for people with personality, a unique look, and their own energy—not your typical advertising models, but people who immediately spark curiosity.
Possible themes / food concepts include:
Bowl / modern food world
Hawaii / sweet-and-salty theme
Pasta / classic comfort food moment
Popcorn / shared, playful food moment
Ayran / surprising combination
Egg / small, pointed food motif
The final casting assignments for one or more of the motifs will be determined based on the casting process and the overall cast.
Look & Performance Style
The films will be realized as short, precisely choreographed moments. The focus is on:
a dish
a character
a clear movement
a proud MAGGI moment
The performers should not explain the food or their own combination, but rather celebrate it with confidence. What’s important is a natural, positive presence in front of the camera—preferably with humor, charm, individuality, and a little twinkle in the eye.
We’re not looking for over-the-top comedy, but rather genuine joy, ease, and personality.
Visual Approach
The camera will be very close to the food and the performers (FishEye), creating dynamic, slightly exaggerated, and eye-catching images.
The performers must feel comfortable acting up close to the camera and interacting with the food or product.
Self-Tape Briefing
Please submit both videos as 9:16 (portrait orientation) MP4.
Camera: A smartphone is sufficient
Lighting: Well-lit and even; face clearly recognizable
Audio: Clearly audible; as free from background noise as possible
Background: neutral or everyday-like, not too cluttered
Please no filters, no heavy editing, no background music
Self-tape 1: Introduction
Please speak briefly and naturally into the camera.
Content:
Name, age, place of residence / booking base, height, special notes: tattoos, piercings, allergies, unavailability dates, etc.; show your hands; optional, but encouraged: Briefly share an unusual food combination of your own or a meal you really love, even if others might find it strange.
Tone:
Relaxed, likable, direct, authentic. Please don’t make it like a traditional audition video—instead, approach it as if you were briefly introducing yourself in person.
Self-tape 2: Skit / MAGGI Moment
Please act out a short scene centered around one of your own surprising food combinations (feel free to use a fisheye lens or a 0.5mm wide-angle camera, positioned close to the camera).
It doesn’t have to be exactly one of the final concepts—what matters is the attitude: You have your meal, you think it’s delicious, you season it with MAGGI, and you celebrate it.
Assignment
Imagine this:
You’re sitting or standing with a dish in front of you. To others, the combination might seem unusual—but to you, it’s perfect. You season the food with MAGGI, glance briefly at the camera, and proudly present the moment as if it were completely obvious: “This is how I eat it. And I’m celebrating it.”
Please act naturally, confidently, and have fun. Don’t overdo it, and don’t come across as artificially promotional. It can be humorous, but should still feel genuine. We’re looking for people who have a strong presence on camera and can make a small moment exciting.
You can use a simple prop for the dish and bottle. It doesn’t have to look perfect. What matters is the performance.
Please no dialogue. Please keep it to a maximum of 10 seconds.
Acting
Get close to the camera with your dish. Glance briefly at the food as if you’re looking forward to it. Add MAGGI—either imaginarily or with a neutral bottle or a placeholder.
Season the food. Briefly and proudly present the moment and the bottle toward the camera. Optional: a quick glance, a gesture, or an expression that says, “Yes, exactly like that.”
