THE ROLES
We are looking for three authentic, charismatic seniors for an upcoming commercial for AMI.
The ideal talents should have a natural, warm, and engaging presence on camera. We are looking for real personalities rather than stereotypical “senior” characters—people who are relatable, charming, and bring their own personality to the film.
Role / Requirements profile
OVERALL CASTING DIRECTION
We are not looking for stereotypical elderly characters.
We want people who feel alive, curious, funny, intelligent, and relatable.
Think: your favorite neighbor, your funny uncle, your grandmother who always has a great story to tell—people you would genuinely enjoy spending time with.
The ideal candidates should be comfortable delivering short lines naturally and reacting spontaneously to situations.
PETER – The Stubborn Optimist
Male, 68–80, any ethnicity
Experienced gardener, practical, warm, and quietly stubborn, with a dry sense of humor and an expressive face. Peter takes pride in growing his own vegetables but gets frustrated when the mice eat his carrots—especially after Ami warned him.
The performance should be natural, understated, and authentic, with humor stemming from his restrained irritation and stubbornness.
Must be comfortable working in a garden, kneeling or bending down, and handling soil and vegetables.
Gender
Male / Non-binary
Acting age
68 – 80 years
