Job Title:
Makeup Artist (m/f/d) 

Collective Bargaining Classification:
The employment relationship and compensation are governed by the provisions of the NV Bühne collective bargaining agreement (SR Stage Technicians). Compensation is at least the currently valid starting or minimum wage according to NV Bühne. Compensation exceeding the minimum wage is possible, taking into account qualifications, professional experience, and the requirements of the advertised position.

The following positions are available: 

• one full-time position with 39 hours per week, as well as

• one part-time position with 19.5 hours per week.&

Contract start date:
as soon as possible 

Areas of responsibility: 

• Makeup preparation and support during rehearsals and performances 

• Design of makeup looks, including special effects 

• Maintenance and upkeep of makeup and costume equipment

The Volksbühne am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz places special emphasis on gender equality and diversity. Requirements:

• Successfully completed training as a makeup artist 

• Special knowledge and skills in the field of special effects are a plus

• Professional experience, ideally from work in the (spoken) theater field

• Ability to work in a team, reliability, and perseverance

• Artistic intuition and imagination

• Adaptability and sensitivity when working with performers

• Fluency in spoken and written German; knowledge of other foreign languages is a plus

• Willingness to work irregular hours, including weekends and holidays, as well as to participate in touring performances
