Job description

As Stage Manager, you serve as the key liaison between RWS Global performers, the production team, and the client (LEGOLAND® Deutschland), ensuring smooth daily operations, safety, and show quality across all performances.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Show Calling & Technical Support

  • Assistance with sound

  • Call all live stunt shows, coordinating cues for audio, action, and special effects. Stunts will include:

  •  Stage combat

  • Acro (including trampette use)

  • Maintain situational awareness during live performances, including dynamic elements such as water stunts and guest proximity.

  • Backstage & Performer Support

  • Assist the cast with quick changes, particularly for performers in mascot-style costumes.

  • Provide general backstage support to ensure safe and efficient transitions and readiness.

  • Company & Cast Management

  • Act as the on-site Company Manager, supporting cast well-being, managing breaks, scheduling replacements, and maintaining team morale.

  • Conduct daily check-ins with performers and report any incidents, injuries, or concerns.

  • Client Liaison & Reporting

  • Serve as the primary RWS representative on-site, communicating with LEGOLAND’s Entertainment team.

  • Submit Daily Operational Reports (DORs) covering performance notes, attendance, technical issues, and guest feedback.

  • Health & Safety

  • Ensure all safety protocols are followed during performances.

  • Participate in and enforce daily pre-show checks and risk assessments.

  • Liaise with park teams to test water chemical levels, wind speeds, and stage maintenance 


Role / Requirements profile

Requirements:

  • Proven experience stage managing live performances, ideally in a theme park, outdoor, or stunt-based setting

  • Comfortable operating special effects, including pyrotechnics or flame effects (training will be provided)

  • Excellent communicator, calm under pressure, and highly organized

  • Must be fluent in German and English

  • Must have the right to work in the EU (European Union)

  • Experience working with costumed characters and managing quick changes is preferred

  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions

  • First Aid certification is required, and knowledge of show health and safety practices is a plus
