Live Entertainment General Technician (m/f/d) for the “LEGOLAND® Deutschland Resort”

The Production Technician position requires basic experience across all disciplines within the entertainment industry, with a focus on sound mixing. This position is responsible for operating the sound equipment for the shows, including IEMs and monitors, across two venues.

You will be required to work independently one day per week on a rotational basis.

This position also involves providing support to the on-site team in operating equipment to ensure a successful show.

Essential Duties:

• Complete daily checklists as required for both venues

• Ensure all SFX are functioning properly and have sufficient power

• Mix live vocals and tracks on digital mixing consoles

• Work cleanly and efficiently to deliver a stunning final event

• Experience with Allen & Heath mixing consoles, wireless microphones, and basic knowledge of Avolites lighting systems is preferred.

Minimum Qualifications:

EDUCATION:
Required: GCSEs or equivalent secondary education
Preferred: Vocational or technical training – Fields of Study: welding, engineering, rigging, carpentry, electronics, audio, construction, electrical work. The knowledge required for this position is often not covered in traditional college programs. Technical theater education comes closest, but so does any education in audio, lighting, electronics, rigging, welding, carpentry, or design. It is a wide range of technical skills that makes this a valuable background.

EXPERIENCE:
1 to 2 years of experience in the technical entertainment field.

LICENSING OR CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Valid UK driver’s license required.
CSCS and IPAF or similar construction safety certifications are helpful.
Must have the right to work in the EU (European Union).

Key Competencies:

• Basic knowledge of a working theatrical space—fly systems, rigging, rehearsal schedules, facility requirements, hanging and focusing lighting fixtures, audio, running cabling, cable management, basic knots, awareness of other aspects of production and their needs from your position and from the space, basic carpentry, basic electrics, ability to interpret and create construction drawings, design drawings, lighting plots, floor plans, basic paperwork

• Solution-based troubleshooting

• Working knowledge of SFX and safety protocols

• Friendly and proactive personality

• Ability to interact with clients, coworkers, and laborers to maintain a positive work environment

• Organizational skills—in the office and on-site

• Excellent verbal communication skills and customer service—communicates through various mediums such as email, text, phone calls, and in-person conversations.

• Must be fluent in German and English

• Awareness of dangers and hazards associated with job functions and willingness to mitigate those risks
