The Bavarian State Opera is seeking as soon as possible a full-time
Interim Chief Makeup Artist as a sick leave replacement (m/f/d)

Your responsibilities:
Responsibility for the professional artistic and technical execution of makeup designs for all new productions in opera, ballet, and additional projects, as well as ensuring high-quality support for the entire repertoire of the current season
Ensuring the smooth operation and efficient workflow of the entire department
Scheduling and organizing fittings
Creating duty rosters, time and cost estimates, and procurement of materials
Participating in meetings and rehearsals

Role / Requirements profile
Your Qualifications:
A recognized makeup artist training program and several years of experience in a leadership position (preferably at an opera house)
High level of artistic sensitivity and creativity
Flexibility, passion, independence, and professionalism
Ability to work under pressure, organizational skills, and a team player
A willingness to experiment and a love of the theatrical arts
Willingness to work evenings and weekends
Good command of English
