The Deutsches Theater Göttingen is looking for a

Garment Master (m/f/d)

as deputy head of the men's tailoring

in full-time (39 hours/week) as a temporary parental leave replacement.

The date of employment is by arrangement. 

The Deutsches Theater Göttingen is a theater with over 180 employees, including 26 permanent actors, that stages around 25 new productions per season. It offers a diverse repertoire in classical, modern and musical theater as well as children's and youth theater in three venues.

Your tasks:

• Collaborate closely with the costume designers to interpret and precisely realize the costume designs

• Collaborate with the head of the men's tailoring department to ensure smooth processes and efficient team management

• Actively participate in the management team of the costume department (consisting of the women's wardrobe department, men's wardrobe department and costume directorate), to ensure the coordination and harmonization of the artistic and technical production processes

• Conducting costume meetings, fittings and participation in final rehearsals

• Managing the workshop and coordinating and adhering to production processes

• Delivering the costumes in the correct style, professional, timely and economical realization of the specified costume concepts

• Creation of cuts and tailoring of the costumes in the respective period style

• Collaboration in the organization and maintenance of the costume collection
