The Schlachthaus Theater Bern SHT is looking for a
Social Media Employee (30-40%)
Fixed-term contract until 31.12.2027 with option to extend

The Schlachthaus Theater SHT is a co-production and guest performance venue for the independent performing arts scene in Switzerland and internationally. It stands for contemporary forms, content and aesthetics and offers a diverse program of world premieres and guest performances for adults and young audiences. The SHT team comprises around 20 permanent and freelance employees and is also a training company. Every year, the SHT puts on more than 160 performances in the theater hall (120 seats), on the studio stage (35 seats) and outside.
As a social media employee, you will oversee and manage the SHT's social media channels in close collaboration with the communications manager. You will deal with the content of the plays that are shown at SHT, suggest channel-appropriate content and develop it from the idea to the finished post. They proactively pick up on topics, plan ahead, implement the content and keep an eye on what is relevant for the channels and target groups.
Your tasks include:
Maintaining and developing the social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn)
Creating and implementing the editorial plan
Production of high-quality content (text, image, Video) taking into account CI and target groups
Collaboration and communication with artists and companies for content creation
Planning and implementation of advertising campaigns (meta ads)
Community-Management
Monitoring and analyzing social media performance
Managing the SHT media library on www.schlachthaus.ch
Managing the screen in the foyer
Taking over individual performance services

Role / Requirements profile
You bring:
Interest in theater and culture
Completed training or studies in the field of communication, media, marketing and/or professional experience in social media work
A confident use of common tools (Meta Business Suite, Canva, CapCut, etc.).)
Sense for design, storytelling and trends
Very good knowledge of German and good English
Structured and reliable way of working
Creativity
Willingness to work flexibly (also evenings and weekends)
