Casper (playing age 23):
An existentialist drifter in search of meaning or a sense of belonging. He encounters life with playful, indifferent ease in order to cope. He has tracked down his birth mother's address in the hope of finding a sense of belonging with her. But his subconscious fear of rejection runs so deep that it seems impossible for him to actually reveal himself to her.
Zoe (playing age 40):
An articulate and desperate artist. She lives with a reclusive roommate and works as a dance teacher to make ends meet. A very proud, stubborn and strong personality, but marked by the suppressed guilt of having once given Casper away. She is quite lonely and, like Casper, has a sarcastic and indifferent attitude towards life.
