Your Job
More than a show. A world of glamour, elegance, and allure.

As part of the entertainment team on the Mein Schiff fleet, you’ll bring the burlesque theater to life. Here, precise dance, stylish staging, and the unique art of burlesque come together. With elegance, personality, and your individual stage presence, you’ll work with your ensemble to create an extraordinary experience for our guests.

• Work as a burlesque dancer within a permanent ensemble

• Stage-ready performance of the developed roles in two high-quality burlesque shows

• Participation in and contribution to all rehearsals and repertoire rehearsals for the respective show formats

• Willingness to perform double shows when the schedule requires it

• Professional representation of the Burlesque Theater and direct contact with our guests

• Participation in the joint rehearsal and preparation phase in Berlin prior to the first cruise assignment

Here’s what you can look forward to:

• A predictable engagement with two shipboard stints of approximately 10 weeks each

• Accommodation in a single crew cabin as well as guest privileges throughout the ship

Your Course & your talents
What you’ll bring to the table:

• Professional dance training or a comparable artistic qualification

• Solid ballet or classical dance technique with excellent body control, alignment, and precision of movement

• Several years of professional stage experience and versatility as a dancer, for example in jazz, show dance, commercial, or contemporary

• Confidence in wearing high heels and an elegant, expressive, and self-assured stage presence

• Quick learning ability, strong musicality, and the ability to execute choreography precisely and confidently

• Experience working within a permanent ensemble

• Basic acting skills and prior experience aboard a cruise ship are a plus

• Very good English skills; knowledge of German is a plus

• Professional demeanor, excellent manners, and strong teamwork skills

Note regarding the burlesque component: 

• Previous experience in burlesque is not required—experience in burlesque, revue, cabaret, or similar show formats is welcome

• A confident, elegant, playful, and sensual use of physicality on stage is expected

• Due to specific choreographic and production requirements for this role, a height of approximately 173 cm is required

• No topless performances: The maximum level of disrobement is limited to underwear or nipple pasties
