Best Ager actress (f/d) as "Ingrid" for the short film "Tschö"

For the graduation film "Tschö" of the Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences we are looking for an actor for the role: INGRID (71)

This is what the film is about: Paul is dead. He sends his family on a scavenger hunt around the will - just to say goodbye to them personally.

Running time: approx. 15 minutes
Genre: absurd comedy
Shooting period: 06.-11.01.2026 (total 2 rehearsal days, 4 shooting days - but we probably only need the role of Ingrid on three shooting days)

Shooting will take place in Idstein, about an hour's drive from Frankfurt. It would be great if you come from Hessen, but applications from outside Hessen are also welcome.

As this is a student production, which is largely financed by private funds, we unfortunately do not have the possibility to pay a fee. However, we will of course cover travel costs, accommodation if necessary and delicious meals on set. You are also welcome to use material from the film for your showreel.

Role description:
Ingrid is the sister of Paul's wife Renate and beats the family way. She studied German and later became a teacher, but has devoted most of her life to social education projects. Meaningfulness, art and culture are more important to her than economics and money. She can name interpersonal problems directly and confront others with her own thoughts without becoming polemical. Her easy-going manner makes her easy to talk to. However, her opinions are often too solid due to a lack of better knowledge and her interests are very limited. She became politicized during the '68 movement, which still shapes her world view and self-image today. In her left-wing green-alternative way, however, she is now old-fashioned in her own way. Climate protection and equality for all are important to her. She lives this conviction. However, she only questions entrenched structures within the family and replaced her willingness to be revolutionary at a young age with ecologically sustainable consumer behavior. She is culturally conservative, has no use for new media and the internet and still enjoys watching Rainer Werner Fassbinder films on her tube TV with her husband. She has a good relationship with her sister, but demonstratively moved away from her in terms of character and found her too boring to talk to after a certain point.
