Job description

Originally built as a concert hall for the Berlin Singakademie, it reopened as a spoken-word theater in 1952 and has since consistently provided decisive artistic inspiration. Located between Humboldt University and Museum Island, the theater is a place of transdisciplinary exchange and political debate using artistic means across genre boundaries. Starting with the 2026/27 season, the Maxim Gorki Theater, under the direction of Çağla Ilk, will be reoriented as a house of the arts, contradictions, and new beginnings.
