Job description
THE ROLE
You play the grandmother who’s always cooking, no matter what happens. Warm-hearted, resolute, with a dry sense of humor. The videos thrive on the fact that many viewers recognize their own grandma—not on the fact that someone is playing a grandma.
Your co-star is a boy (about 10 years old) who appears in most of the videos.
WHAT WE’RE FILMING
Short videos for Instagram and TikTok, usually 15 to 60 seconds:
Kitchen skits: The boy is hungry, and you cook in record time
Cooking blind: You give instructions without seeing what he’s doing—the misunderstandings are the joke
Short everyday scenes outdoors
A scene at the supermarket checkout
No need to memorize long scripts. We work with bullet points and your own words. It’s more important that it feels authentic than that the sentences are perfect.
HOW OFTEN AND WHERE
One to two shooting days per month, each lasting half a day to a full day. Filming takes place in our studio in Cologne, and occasionally outdoors in the Cologne area. We’ll coordinate dates with at least one week’s notice.
WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING
You don’t need to be a professional cook, but you should feel comfortable in a kitchen and know how to handle pots and pans. The dishes are simple and will be discussed beforehand.
Role / Requirements profile
MUST
Warm, approachable presence—a grandmother you’d recognize right away
You come across as natural on camera, and you find it easier to improvise than to read from a script
You live in Cologne or the surrounding area and can easily be reached for regular filming days
You’re reliable when it comes to scheduling appointments
Agreement that the videos may also be used as paid advertisements
You enjoy interacting with children—your co-star is a 10-year-old boy

Knowledge of Russian or an Eastern European background—a large portion of our target audience is Russian-speaking
Familiarity with Eastern European cuisine
Experience with social media content, UGC, or advertising productions
NOT REQUIRED
Acting training

Accent-free Standard German—an accent might even suit the role well
