Job description
With SchoolRallye, students become part of an interactive mission in which they experience history firsthand at the original locations and deepen their knowledge in a fun, game-like way.
For our new rally set in late 19th-century London, we’re producing an atmospheric trailer as well as short intro and outro videos. The story centers on the young Detective Constable Arthur Vane, who is sent from Scotland Yard to the East End to re-examine a murder case that was supposedly already solved.
When the suspect’s daughter claims her father is innocent, Arthur begins to doubt the evidence at hand. Together with the players, he must find out whether the case file actually tells the truth or whether prejudice, manipulation, and corruption could send an innocent man to prison.
For this, we are looking for an actor to play the lead character Arthur Vane.
The shoot includes English dialogue scenes and close-ups that highlight the character’s personality. This is not a traditional film production, but rather a marketing production for our website, social media, and online advertising.

Role / Requirements profile
Arthur Vane is a young detective constable with the Metropolitan Police who is transferred from Scotland Yard to London’s East End.
For him, the case is a chance to prove himself as a capable investigator. Arthur firmly believes in law, order, and the power of solid evidence. He works conscientiously, follows the rules, and trusts that proper procedure will lead to a just outcome.
Yet that is precisely where his naivety lies.
When he is confronted with a stolen police file and the claim that the suspect who has already been arrested is innocent, his confidence in the investigation begins to crumble. As the story unfolds, Arthur must come to realize that evidence can be manipulated and that a system isn’t automatically just simply because all the forms have been filled out correctly.
Arthur is intelligent, astute, and morally steadfast. At the same time, he is still inexperienced and somewhat out of touch with the unwritten rules of the East End. He should come across as very likable and trustworthy, with a slight air of awkward formality.
In terms of character type, we’re looking for a sort of younger, less experienced version of Sherlock Holmes, less eccentric and significantly more approachable.

fluent, very good English
British English preferred, or a native British speaker

a London or southern English accent is a plus
