Newcomer

Actress (f/d) as supporting role "mother" of a student queer short film

Application phase closed
Job description

Hello, we are looking for an actress for the supporting role in a short film produced by students. It's a queer story from a small town.

The supporting character is the mother of Jules and Maeve Scott, an old-fashioned, reserved housewife living under her husband's hand, who knows nothing of the non-binary identity of her "son" "Julius" and has no idea of a queer world, but loves her children more than anything.

The film's logline:
When Jules Scott finds out that her little sister Maeve is taking part in a beauty contest that she doesn't fancy, the two decide to swap places.

The short film is directed by two students from the third semester of the SAE Institute in Leipzig. The duration of the film is about 12 minutes and the shooting period corresponds to 4 days, i.e. the days from 20.01.2025 to 24.01.2025.

This role is scheduled for only two shooting days!

We are students, so we don't have a big budget, but we would help out with travel and accommodation as far as our resources allow. Catering on set will of course be arranged by us.

I hope for a good cooperation!
