For the graduation film "Tschö" of the Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences we are looking for an actor for the role: MARA (23)
This is what the film is about: Paul is dead. He sends his family on a scavenger hunt around the will - just to say goodbye to them personally.
Running time: approx. 15 minutes
Genre: absurd comedy
Shooting period: 06.-11.01.2026 (total 2 rehearsal days, 4 shooting days)
Shooting will take place in Idstein, about an hour's drive from Frankfurt. It would be great if you come from Hesse, but applications from outside Hesse are also welcome.
As this is a student production, which is largely financed by private funds, we unfortunately do not have the possibility to pay a fee. However, we will of course cover travel costs and delicious meals on set. You are also welcome to use material from the film for your showreel.
If you are interested, please send your application including the following data: CV, showreel
We look forward to receiving every application!

Role description:
Mara has moved to a nearby city for her studies. Moving out was important to her, but she is still stuck between independence and family support. She has a generally good but distant relationship with her parents - they give her freedom, but subtly make it clear that they would have liked her to take a different path in life and don't think her studies have much of a future.
On the outside, Mara appears open, friendly and successful, but on the inside she is marked by self-doubt and unsure whether she can really stand up for her path. She finds closeness difficult and only talks about her feelings with great confidence. She avoids conflict, especially in relationships, for fear of getting stuck in unhappy patterns like many in her family. Her relationship with her grandparents, especially her supportive grandfather, has had a strong influence on her and at the same time reinforces her longing for harmony and her fear of emotional constriction.
