Job description
We are looking for a committed actor who would like to portray our main character "Wolfgang" for our graduation film (approx. 25min) at the RheinMain University of Applied Sciences. It is a historical short film based on a true story.
Our film "Wind from the West" tells the story of Wolfgang, an apprentice baker living in the GDR in 1957. He is a polite, quiet and warm-hearted young man. Wolfgang feels politically and professionally constrained and makes the courageous decision to leave his homeland and ride his motorcycle alone across the border to the West to build a new life there. He leaves his family and girlfriend behind. On his journey, he repeatedly has to find the courage to continue. He encounters inspectors, skeptical looks and a new friend, all of which shape him in different ways.
