Casting call - guest role "Big Kev" in social media comedy format
For the web series "The Stagebuilders", we are looking for a likeable cast member for the supporting role of "Big Kev" - a charming anti-rapper who provides maximum comedy with his down-to-earth manner.
What's it all about?
In the series "The Stagebuilders", we follow two over-the-top stage builders in the everyday life of an event company. In the planned episode "Rap +", our duo meets a client who they think is a real hip-hop star, but Big Kev turns out to be a reserved guy with a panda mask, thermos flask and a surprisingly matter-of-fact request.
Your task: You play this calm contrasting character, whose normality only makes the chaos around him seem even more absurd.
What to expect:
📍 Shooting location: Karlsruhe area / Megaforce HQ in Weingarten
📆 Shooting period: Expected week 26 mornings/lunchtimes
⏱️ Shooting duration: approx. half a day of shooting
💶 Flat fee: €200 gross incl. buyout + meals + travel costs if applicable. Travel expenses

Audition & selection process
Before the shoot, there will be a short online audition via video call (approx. 10 minutes).
We would like to get to know you briefly and test together how you react to the scene.
No memorized text necessary, we are looking for charisma, timing and humor.

Who we are looking for:
Male, playing age approx. 25-40 years
Strong build, preferably a bit chubby
You can appear friendly, slightly awkward and likeable, so you are not a rapper, but an "all-man in baggy"
Impro talent is an advantage, especially in reacting silently to absurd situations
The role: Big Kev
Wears oversized jogging clothes, cap and an eye-catching panda mask
Speaks High German, calm, matter-of-fact, no gangster attitude
Reacts unimpressed to the main characters' shrill attempts to appear "hip"
Central comedy function: Your normal behavior is what makes the scene really funny
What you should bring:
Comfortable, wide sweatpants
Oversized hoodie or shirt
Cap
Practical sneakers
Optional: your own "rapper accessories" (necklace, watch or similar)
