Our members and we stand for more than 100,000 active musicians from amateurs to professionals in the music metropolis of Hamburg.As the sponsor of the top young ensembles Landesjugendorchester, Landesjugendjazzorchester and Landesjugendchor, the Landesmusikrat Hamburg will also establish a new Hamburg State Youth Guitar Ensemble (HH LJGitE) in fall 2025. The HH LJGitE, which is currently being founded, is a select ensemble of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg that distinguishes itself through innovative and creative program design and concepts, high artistic quality and innovative extensions of the standard instrumental line-up. It provides young musicians between the ages of 14 and 27 with high-level ensemble experience and promotes the development of special musical talents. Unusual works and interdisciplinary program concepts, collaboration with composers, introductions and lectures on works and cultural contexts in the context of ensemble work, new concert formats, etc. play a key role. The Landesmusikrat Hamburg wants to strengthen the potential of well-trained young guitarists in Hamburg through a qualitatively outstanding, innovative selection ensemble and bring impulses to the Hamburg guitar scene through the members of the ensemble. Representatives of the Hamburg guitar scene are involved in the reorganization process.
