For my 3rd semester short film I still need a male read supporting role :).
Logline:
When Mira learns that an aggressive brain tumor gives her only a few months left, she and her partner Eva begin a painfully delicate race against time, trying to hold on to every second together like the brief glow of a shooting star, knowing that it will burn out inexorably but only live on if someone remembers its light.

Jonas is Mira's older brother, who had to leave their troubled family home at an early age to find a stable life with his grandfather. This move saved him, but he still feels guilty today because Mira stayed behind.
He is warm-hearted, impulsive and deeply loyal. Behind his humorous, physically affectionate nature lies a vulnerable core. Jonas loves Mira unconditionally and now, during her illness, returns to her life with desperate tenderness to make up for lost intimacy.
He develops a quiet mutual respect for Eva: he recognizes her strength and exhaustion, she his wounds. An unspoken understanding develops between them, characterized by concern for Mira.
Jonas' presence brings warmth, guilt, hope and the memory of a home that never quite worked.
!Jonas must be able to carry Mira over his shoulder in one scene!
