Job description
The film tells the story of Lenja and her partner Erik. What at first appears to be an ordinary relationship gradually turns out to be marked by psychological abuse. When Lenja finally sees no other way out and physically defends herself, the situation suddenly seems to turn on its head: Erik becomes the alleged victim, and Lenja finds herself on trial. Now everything is at stake for her.
Motivation:
Psychological abuse often remains invisible, yet many people experience it. With “Schweigen,” we want to draw attention to this issue, encourage reflection, and showcase different perspectives. When does emotional pressure or verbal abuse escalate into a situation where self-defense seems to be the only way out? Our film addresses precisely this difficult question—and invites the audience to form their own judgment.
