Shortform Video Editor (m/f/d) for a post-production team

We are Artisan Media, a full-service marketing and content agency for high-quality video content. We produce premium short-form content at the highest technical level for our corporate clients.

We are currently looking for a reliable freelance video editor (m/f/d) for our well-established post-production team, working 100% from home.

What makes this job special:

We place great value on structured processes. Your workflow is structured by our system (e.g. ready-made node tree) so that you can concentrate fully on the essentials.

We are looking for an editor who can edit at a very good level and deliver professional results. Someone who thinks and contributes creatively, doesn't just bluntly work through things and can solve any problems independently and time-efficiently.

If you are experienced and efficient, this is manageable work for you. Most videos are finished in under an hour, often much faster.

The project & The remuneration

• Safe retainer: At least 12 videos per month guaranteed

• Scalability: Current volume is 12-20+ videos per month.

• Compensation: 57 € fixed per finished video (length: usually less than 30 sec.).

• The material: Crisp raw material (usually 10 minutes per video).

• Time saving: Due to the optimized workflow, the real time required is on average around 60 minutes or less. Some videos only take 20 minutes, some need a little more time.

• Perspective: If the collaboration is successful, there is the option of a later permanent part-time position.

Your area of responsibility (premium assembly line)

• Sighting & editing: Independent selection of the best takes from approx. 10 minutes of raw material. Structured rough and fine cut with a clear storytelling focus.

• Music selection: Select suitable tracks and apply them rhythmically to the edit.

• Color Correction: No look development! You adjust exposure, white balance and contrast within our predefined node tree. (no log workflow, we use S-Cinetone)

• Audio Leveling: No high-end mastering required, but a clean transition. You make volume adjustments (keyframing to loud parts) and mix the voice cleanly over the music.

• Corrections: 1-2 focus rounds at most.

Your profile: Fast, but detail-oriented

• The mindset: You work quickly and routinely, but you don't rush. The output must be clean and to the point. You think conceptually and see for yourself where an edit needs to go.

• DaVinci Resolve Pro: You know Resolve (Studio) in your sleep (edit page, color page matching, basic keyframing).

• Technical eye/ear: You can read scopes and know what a cleanly leveled audio track sounds like.

• Reliability: You love free time management, but meet deadlines like a bomb.

This position is NOT for you if:

• You mainly work with CapCut, Premiere or mobile apps.

• You are a UGC creator who cuts "pi times thumbs". We need real, clean craftsmanship.

• You give up immediately when you encounter technical problems (e.g. audio noise or exposure jumps): you should find solutions on your own.
