The interactive theater "The Jury Experience" is looking for an actor to play the role of Gabriela Rivers, the victim's wife.
The company is looking for a new cast member for the first case in the series for the new Leipzig production. "The Jury Experience" is a series of interactive theater experiences based on fictional court cases. The first case to be developed is about a self-driving car and the accident it caused.
The audience takes on the role of the jury and decides via smartphone whether evidence or witness statements are admitted and whether the defendant is found guilty. The final outcome of the play is therefore decided by the audience. The actors represent the various court parties and must react to the decisions of the "jury" during the performance.
Since no travel and accommodation costs to and within Leipzig can be covered, we are specifically targeting applicants who live in Leipzig.
We offer:
- Work in a completely new cast
- 40 hours of rehearsals for a total of 900.00 EUR (net, all fees plus VAT)

rehearsal days can be freely agreed with the director and the players)
- 400.00 EUR daily fee for performances (two performances per day)
- 150.00 EUR travel allowance for performances outside Leipzig
- possible takeover for further cases within the series (new rehearsal fees in each case)
We are looking for:
- an actress, female, playing age: 25-40
- completed professional acting studies
- fluency in German, at best native speaker level
- experience or affinity for interactive formats is desirable,
but not a requirement
- private accommodation in Leipzig is necessary
Role description:
GABRIELA RIVERA. Wife of the victim, female (25-40)
Before her husband Alex Rivera was killed in a bicycle accident, she led a happy family life. She gave up her job as a teacher and has since concentrated on bringing up her two children. She met her husband, a paramedic, at college. Together they volunteered for various charitable organizations. Although the shock and grief are still deep within her, she tries to remain calm during the trial because she trusts the prosecutor and the justice system. However, she does not suppress her feelings and shows her emotions and frustration over the loss in her pleadings.
